PYSER-SGI SAS Survival
Compass
When your life depends on it you need the best! Built
to Military specifications and in-service worldwide, the Francis
Barker model 1605 NATO button compass (also known as Francis
Barker SAS Survival Button Compass) out performs all others in
the most extreme situations. As one of the standard issues
of British SAS Survival Kit, it has been equipped the British
squaddie for decades.
Smaller than a dime - it measures only 0.2
inches in thickness and 0.6 inches in diameter--this
glass-faced, brass-bodied, NATO survival compass employs a dry
sapphire jewelled needle bearing and weighs a scant 0.1 ounces.
For daytime use, the compass card, whose octagram shape marks
the four cardinal points as well as the four intercardinal
points, denotes north with a red dot. For those who like
to move under the cover of darkness, two glow-in-the-dark,
mil-spec luminous dots mark north while one luminous dot marks
south. Unlike some button-style compasses, this unit is
designed to be sewn into your clothing, the ultimate in
loss-prevention.
On the watchstrap, in your survival kit,
weapon butt or sewn into your shirt, the Francis Barker NATO
Survival Compass will get you home - count on it!
